How to Become a Perfectionist?

Nobody likes to be known as the Jack of all trades but master of none. And with good reason.
Superficial knowledge about stuff can only take you so far whereas knowing more about a few things will definitely get you noticed. All it needs is perfection. Here are the top ways in which you can turn into a perfectionist.
Practice
Practice
The most obvious quality you require to achieve complete knowledge in anything in particular is practice and lots of it. This means having the ability to let go of set patterns in your life to explore your beliefs and giving whatever it requires to achieve your goal. You need to always keep the bigger picture in mind and not wallow in sacrifices that you may be required to make to turn into a perfectionist.
Passion
Being passionate about your chosen field or subject can go a long way in helping to achieve your goals. A person with a penchant for photography will find it much easier to take pictures even at odd hours of the day compared to someone who is just doing it because it needs to be done. A passionate person will always find ways of doing things better and command greater value than anybody else. Your passion is the only thing that will help you to leapfrog from being mundane to achieving perfection.
Patience
There are good days and bad days in our lives. However, a perfectionist has a different outlook. To such a person, all days are equal. In fact, a perfectionist sees opportunity in even bad things and bad days simply because it offers him a chance to learn something. Where a normal person gets flustered and frustrated, the perfectionist will exercise patience and in time find a solution to the problem. And that is a quality worth emulating.
Prudence
Too much of a good thing is bad. Which is why you must always know where to draw the line. When your passion begins to turn into obsession, try to take a few steps back. It's quite possible that you've been missed on a whole lot of other things to do while following your beliefs. Switch off and take a break. Not only will you come back refreshed and rejuvenated, you will also avoid turning into a compulsive obsessive person, a quality perfectionists are often given.
Peace of mind
This is easy to advocate but extremely difficult to follow. This is because most of us associate our inability to be perfect with failure. On top of this, the pressures of knowledge and time squeeze in from both sides while you climb the mountain of turning into a perfectionist. However, like a true ascetic, you would do well to live in the present and not dwell about the past and future. Live in the moment, let go of insecurities and balance your mind. Once you do this, no power on earth can stop you from turning into a perfectionist who excels at anything he picks up. You can be the Master Jack of all trades if you so desire.

Valuable Tips for Young Women in Tech Industry

Most of them believe that a woman can’t be successful in the tech industry as it is only meant for men.
This blind belief has been evacuated by majority of the women, who had taken it as a challenge to show even they can achieve the success as equally as the men folk in this industry. But, there are few women who feel burnout in day to day work pressure, especially in a tech profession. Marissa Mayer, Vice President of Google gives few tips to the women who find it pretty hard to maintain the burnout in an interview with the Buzzfeed website. In that interview, she also quoted that, when she joined the Google in 1999, she became the first woman engineer and also the first woman employee.
Here are few tips she suggested the women in the tech field to be happy at work, in that interview.
1. Gain an opportunity to work with smart people:
It is always suggested by everyone that if you start working with the smart people around you, it is very helpful in your future work. If you think you are not smarter enough to analyze the work you complete, ask any one of your smart colleague to get suggest his or her opinion about your finished work. You will be lucky enough if you get along with a smart person [intellectually smart] so that you would have lot more things to learn out from his or her work. Avoid being foolish thinking you are dumb, so it is better to stay with another dumb person rather than a smart person.
2. Push yourself to do something great every time:
If you have been fed up of completing the same old usual tasks, why don’t you drive yourself forward to do something very unique which everybody likes to? If you show your courage in taking up new difficult tasks, you will be definitely involved in the work you do as it keeps you engaged in the work in whatever work you do and also it can make you more confident in the work you do.
3. Select a perfect place where you can share your opinions:
At the present day, most of you will be just completing the work that is assigned to you. But why don’t you move a step forward to give your own opinions to the respective person so that he or she thinks on it. It’s true that, it is pretty difficult to find a perfect place to establish your opinion, but it will be always good if you find one, so that even your career can grow simultaneously along with your company.
4. Work for an employer who appreciates your success and also makes you more responsible:
In many companies at present, you may find that the employers are showing interest in their employees’ success. But if you are working in a company which is least bothered about your success, then it is a perfect time to look for a better job. If you work in a company which applauds your talent, then it is a best place to work and stick on with that company until you are confident in your professional life.
5. Make yourself free to engage in the work you love:
Many of you forget in self happiness when you work for others satisfaction and one fine day you might be fed up of your monotonous work and feel desperate to take a break from everything for some time. So, it’s always better to find some quality time to engage yourself in the work you love to do in the middle of your regular duties. This practice can keep you fresh and you can gain some valuable energy you need to start off with your monotonous work.

How to Make Your Colleagues Love You

It is very important to make a correct impression at workplace, especially in front of the co- workers with whom we spend most of our time working. When our co – workers have a positive feeling towards us we automatically feel more motivated at work, this can also increase the productivity of the business and can prove to be quite fruitful for your career. Keep in mind that smart professionals tend to create a positive atmosphere in the workplace.
Below are the ways by which you can also create a positive workplace scenario by making your co – workers love you.
Smile: Smiling is the best way to assure others that you are enjoying your work and the people around you. So do not hesitate to smile especially at workplace, as no one will like to work with individuals who have grumpy face. Remember that as smiling can express a happy emotion; use this emotion frequently so that your co – workers will think that you are easy to work with and that you have a good sense of humor.
Be your own self: It is always advisable for you to stick to your own personality so avoid being someone else. If you don’t be your own self, chances are there that you can be tagged by your co workers as someone with split personality disorder if anything goes out of order. Likewise, avoid telling lies to your co – workers, as it won’t look good and can form a negative impression if your co- workers will come across the reality.
Listen: In- order to make your co – workers love you, you should definitely know the art of listening, particularly to your co – workers so that you are always involved in every particular affair in your workplace. If you do not listen to your co – workers chances are there that, they may stop talking to you and by this you are sure to feel cut off from the work environment. Likewise you should know how to value smaller things in life for example by asking your co – worker how his/her birthday or anniversary went especially if you come to know that he/ she had celebrated his/her birthday or anniversary in the weekend.
Avoid being a recluse in your workplace: Remember that it is very important to socialize with people especially at work, so don’t confine yourself in your cubical, make sure that you talk with people and make an effort to go out with them specifically if you are invited to go out with them for lunch, dinner, shopping etc. You are sure to get appreciated by your co – workers if you have the spirit of partying or socializing with them even for a short time that you can give them.
Avoid Gossips: Gossiping that leads to heated arguments is something which should be avoided at work. You should stay away from indulging in catfights over unimportant matters which can create a negative impression of yours in front of your co – workers. So remain calm and cool and don’t voice your own opinion on matters that are not related to you. You can give your opinion when the situation directly applies to you.
